A

The triangular space at the either end of a temple was called the pediment. This could contain sculpture or be left bank

Ionic frieze -

A

A continuous strip of stone or marble that runs around a temple. It was a good frieze to use if the sculptor wanted to tell a continuous story or use many characters

A

A continuous strip of stone or marble divided into square spaces called metopes. The Doric frieze was good to use if the sculptor wanted to tell several stories or several scenes from one story.
