  • Threat of force only needs to be small (R v Clouden)
  • Grabbing something someone is holding=force. BUT grabbing something that is resting on someone is not (P v DPP)
    (B+R v DPP)
  • The V does not have to fear force, the D just has to seek them to fear force

* But cannot use force after theft is completed
