Q

What is the Goal Attainment Scale (GAS)?

A

GAS:
•is individualised
•allows the SLP to document the child’s behaviours in naturalistic settings
•SLP can document baseline performance and numerically record behavioural changes
Steps:
1.select target behaviour
2.describe the desired behaviour / outcome in objective terms 3.develop descriptions of the probable outcomes from least desirable to most desirable

No 3. is done using Always (+2), Often (+1), Sometimes (+0), Rarely (-2), Never (-2).
This can then be graphed.
