A
  • help to determine suitability of a site for development
  • ascertain ground conditions, foundation design/selection, build up of substrata, ensure that foundation can withstand dead/wind loads with no settlement

What is a field study and whats included?

A

A field study is essentially visiting the site and surrounding area, this includes:

  • site visit
  • site characteristics (logistics, neighbours, infrastructure)
  • H&S hazards
  • Ground conditions, water table and soil type determination
  • Trial pits/bore holes
  • Comtamination
  • Flood potential
  • demolition
