What is simple distillation?
A
Separate a liquid from a solution with a soluble solid

What are the steps to simple distillation?
A
- Evaporate liquid by heating
2. Condense vapour by cooling

What equipment is needed for simple distillation?
A
- Flask
- Glass tube
- Thermometer (Don’t particularly need this for simple distillation)
- Condenser
- Condenser jacket (cold water in & out)
- Beaker

What is the method for simple distillation?
A
- Heat solution
- Liquid turns to vapour and rises into the glass tube
- After rising into the glass tube it enters the condenser and condenses into a liquid
- Drips into beaker and crystals of the solid is left in the flask
