An Abrasion /scrape is a blunt force injury that results when the epithelial layer of the skin is scraped away,destroyed,or detached due to contact of the skin with a rough surface. (By sliding/compressional pressure)

Types of Abrasions include: scrape,brush burn abrasion,impact abrasion and patterned.

An area of bleeding (hemorrhage)into skin or soft tissue as a result of rupture of a blood vessel due to blunt trauma.
