What is skeletal muscle?

A

Muscle that is attached to bones and moves parts of the skeleton. It is striated, voluntary and multi-nucleated

What is Smooth muscle tissue?

A

It is located in the walls of hollow internal organs such as uterus, gastro-intestinal tract and blood vessels. It is non-striated and involuntary and is not multi-nucleated.

What is Cardiac muscle tissue?

A

Found only in the heart and forms the bulk of the hearts walls. It is striated and involuntary, has branching fibres and a single nucleus.
