• Rated speed and accept load within 10 seconds
• 5500 KW continuous output
• 6050 KW (110% rated load) for 2 hours out of 24 hours.
• 20 cylinder, V-type, turbocharged engine
• Operates at 600 rpm
• 6.55 gpm (fuel oil used at 100% load)
• Operation < 25% load (1375 kW) should be minimized to prevent carbon buildup.

Essential Spray Pond System

• Associated Spray Pond pump auto starts when the DG starts
• Cools jacket water, lube oil and intercooler HXs.
• Loss of SP, DG must be locally stopped by AO:
  
  • 15 minutes unloaded
  • 2.6 minutes fully loaded

If SP is inoperable, declare associated DG inoperable (LCO 3.0.6 exception)
