28
Type of flaps
Single slot flaps
29
4 types of flaps
Plain flaps Split flaps Slotted flaps Fowler flaps
30
Plain flaps
Plain flaps hinge to the back of the wing, and they pivot down when you extend them.
31
Split Flaps
deflect from the lower surface of the wing. Split flaps produce slightly more lift than plain flaps, but like their plain counterparts, they also produce a lot of drag.
32
Slotted flaps
Flaps with a slot in it to allow air flow in between to not lose as much airflow there for decreasing potential drag
33
Fowler flaps
Fowler flaps increase the area of your wing by extending out on rails or tracks. Fowler flaps often have a series of slots to add energy to the airflow as well
34
Fuel system and vents
Gravity fed from 2 wing tanks to a 4 position selector valve then through a strainer to the carburetor. Prime draws from strainer. Left and right are connected, left has a check valve to a vent under the wing and right has a vent on the cap.
35
Electrical system
Aircraft is equipped with a 28 volt direct current electrical system. The system is powered by a belt driven 60-amp alternator and a 24 volt battery. Power is supplied to electrical and avionics through the primary and avionics bus bars.
