W2 B Energy Efficiency & Energy Balance Flashcards

1
Q

How do you work out efficiency (the four types)?

A
  1. Gross efficiency (%) = (Work accomplished / Energy expended) x 100
  2. Net efficiency (%) = (Work accomplished / Energy expended - REE) x 100
  3. Work efficiency (%) = (Work accomplished / Energy expended - EE in unloaded) x 100
  4. Delta efficiency (%) = (Change work accomplished / Change EE) x 100
(Delta is the most effective & complex but is the hardest to measure)
