What features are indicative of anticholinergic toxidrome?

A

The symptoms of an anticholinergic toxidrome include blurred vision, coma, decreased bowel sounds, delirium, dry skin, fever, flushing, hallucinations, ileus, memory loss, mydriasis (dilated pupils), myoclonus, psychosis, seizures, and urinary retention.

What is an important consideration with administartion of naloxone? What should be done in light of this?

A

It has a very short half life and so will probably need to be repeated.

Set up an infusion delive 2/3 of the dose required to rouse the patient per hour diluted in 500ml of normal saline
