A
- disorder which causes brain cells to degenerate and die.
- incurable disease, as the death of brain cells cannot be reversed

What is Tau?
A
Tau is a protein that when it occurs in tangled formations in the brain of Alzheimer patients, disrupts the ability of neurons to communicate with one another in the brain.

A
Researchers from Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research ( JNCASR), Bengaluru, have developed a small molecule that helps disrupt and reduce formation of amyloid plaques in the brains of mice with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Name of molecule : TGR63.
