What is National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal?
citizen-centric initiative which will enable citizens to report cybercrimes online and all the complaints will be accessed by the concerned law enforcement agencies for taking action as per law.
The portal specifically focuses on crimes against women, children, particularly child pornography, child sex abuse material, online content pertaining to rapes/gang rapes, etc.
It also focuses on crimes like financial crime and social media related crimes like stalking, cyberbullying, etc
How is the ban on chinese apps done?
gov will give notice to intermediaries (i,e google pay,apple store or internet service provider i.e. Jio,Airtel etc.)to ban the certain apps->if intermediaries did not comply they will face actions like imprisonment
How will that benefit India?
- Chinese apps take indian data.that will be stopped
- Chinese apps earn revenue by pop up advertises that they show,that way chinese companies will be affected.
- Indian tech companies will have chance to fill this void.
