A

sx depends on severity: weakness, fatigue, muscle cramps. sever hypokalemia ( serum less than 2.5mEq/L): flaccid paralysis, hyporeflexia, tetany, rhabdomyolysis, and arrhythmias.

potassium wasting diuretic (ex: hydrochlorothiazide).

ECG finding?

A

broad flat T wave, U waves, St depression and premature ventricular beats. atrial fibrillation, torsade de pointes, and ventricular fibrillation can occur.
