Stasis of urine: - Obstruction - Infection -> Calculi -> Obstruction = self perpetuating - Loss of feeling of a full bladder to release urine Predisposition to infection - Diabetes (glucose in urine) - Poor function of WBC Bacteria using back up the uritra - Sexual intercourse - Catheterisation
