What is Methane?

A

-naturally occuring gases

-Most of the methane on Earth is produced in
biological processes — by microbes, as underground natural gas that formed by earlier generations of microbial life.

  • most of the methane-producing microbes live in the digestive systems of animals, especially cows.
  • it also occur in formations such as rocks, springs and aquifers.
  • it’s short lived.
