What can thunderstorms do?

A

Weather; sudden lowering of cloud base, reduced visibility, precipitation
Hail; Causes damage to airframes, builds up on a runway
Icing; Ice forms on airframes reducing aircraft performance and capability
Lightning; Causes temporary blinding of aircrew, damage to runways, affects communications and aircraft instruments.
Squalls; Sudden changes in surface wind speed and direction
Turbulence; Sudden up-draughts and down-draughts up to 25km away.

A

Whole degrees Celsius using 2 digits followed by either PS for plus or MS for minus.

When do we Issue of special weather reports.

A

Significant change in the weather conditions. Word SPECIAL will be written in RED. When updated the change should also be in RED.
