Sudden onset of swelling in the face and eyelids, which spreads to the extremities or even the whole body. Aversion to cold, has fever, red and sore throat, couch or general aches. Tongue coating is thin and white, pulse is superficial and slippery.

Slow onset of edema on whole body - deep depression when pressing on the skin. Scanty urine, heaviness of body, tired, oppressed sensation in the in the chest, poor appetite, nausea. White and sticky tongue coating. Deep and moderate pulse.

Tongue is pale and puffy with white coating. Pulse is thin and deep or deep, slow, and weak.

Difficult urination, coming on in bouts, no burning, frequency dribbling after micturition, often triggered by overwork. Soreness and weakness of the lumbar and knee, fatigue, depression, chills. Pale tongue and weak pulse. Dx?

Cloudy or turbid urine, slight difficulty in urination. Loss of weight, dizziness, fatigue, soreness and weakness of the lumbar and knees. Pale tongue with greasy coating. thready and weak pulse. Dx?

Gao Lin - Xu

Difficult and painful urination, distending pain in the lower abdomen, irritability. Deep wiry pulse. Dx?

Qi Lin - Shi

Difficult urination, weak stream, dribbling after micturition, dragging feeling in the lower abdomen, pale and puffy complexion. Pale tongue, weak and thready pulse. Dx?

Difficult urination, burning pain on urination, blood in the urine which could take the form of small clots. Fullness and pain in the lower abdomen, restlessness. Red tip of the tongue with yellow coating. Rapid pulse. Dx?
