What is an Allegory?

A

An allegory is a story or a poem or picture that can be interpreted in ways where it means a moral or political meaning disguised by this. Often used to portray messages in which the person behind it may feel strongly about. Almost like a very extended metaphor.

What is an Anachronism?

A

An anachronism is a literary device in which someone or something is placed in a particular time in history which is wrong.

Example - If a painter were to paint aristotle with a wristwatch when knowing that wristwatches weren’t invented then.

What is an Alliteration?

A

Alliteration is when two or more words that start with the same sound are used repeatedly in a phrase or a sentence. … For example, ‘tasty tacos’ is considered an alliteration, but ‘thirty typist’ is not, because ‘th’ and ‘ty’ don’t sound the same. Alliteration is a type of repetition- a repetition of sounds.
