Across upper quadrants and lower quadrants
What are you listening for with general percussion?
General Tympanic Sound
Where do you percuss for liver span?
Down R mid-clavicular line starting at 5th intercostal space.
How long should the liver span be?
No bigger than 6-12cm
When percussing splenic dullness where do you start?
Behing L mid axillary line between 9-11th intercostal space
How wide should the splenic dullness be?
Not wider than 7cm
If the splenic dullness is greater than 7cm it may indicate what?
Splenomegaly
