Q

Where does aorta bifurcate into right and left common iliac arteries? What part of peritineal is abdominal aorta? What vessel runs on the right side of abdominal aorta?

A

L4, just like the iliac crest. Abdominal aorta = retroperitoneal. Inferior vena cava runs on the rigth side.

16
Q

Where is McBirney’s point?

A

Halfway betwen anterior superior iliac spin and umbilicus (it is a diagonal line)

17
Q

Which kidney is more superiorly placed? What organs are endangered upon damage to ribs 9-11?

A
  1. Left kidney

2. Spleen

18
Q

How to systematically read a ct of a sagital plane. What part of the pancrease shows of at T12?

A

Start by locating umiblicus at L4. Tail of panrease shows up at T12

19
Q

What are rugae?

A

They are folds of the stomach. Outstretches with increased stomach capacities.

20
Q

Which part of celiac truck is the most squiggly (tortuous)?

A

Splenic artery

21
Q

Nutcracker syndrome

A

Superior mesenteric compresses structures between abdominal aorta and superior mesenteric artery. They are the left renal vein, pancreas (uncinate process), and 3rd part of duodenum
