Visceral (Autonomic): diffuse, bowel wall
Somatic: Focal, localized, burning, sharp
Where does gallbladder pain present
around to the space between the scapula, to the back. Goes around the abdomen to back

streight around from abdomen to back
Sigmoid volveus
Free air- bowel perforation
Sx of acute mesenteric ischemia
Acute onset of diffuse abdominal pain, out of porportion to exam findings.

Describe pain for apendicitis
start dull, diffuse in mid abdomen, nausea and anorexia, (Visceral pain)
Then serosa and somatic nerve pain, localized in RLQ
Appendicolith– stone in appendix. Need to get appendectomy to treat– not IV abx
Sx of acute colangitis
fever, abdominal pain, jaundice (Charcot’s triad)
Have chills, rigors, sepsis. Acutely ill, may be hypotensive, tachycardic. Epigastric and RUQ tenderness
