Q

How is acacia collected and prepared

A

Based on the summary cracking, transverse incision, gum formation collection and dust removal
Cracking is made at the bark of the 6m 6y tree for the collection of Acacia, this is mostly after raining season Feb to March

A transverse incision is made with an axe below the tree until it reaches the cambium

After 20 to 30 days the gum exudate formed at the surface

It is then picked and dusted from sand and vegetable debris
