What is the water industry act 1991
A
This sets out the main powers and duties of the water and sewage companies in the UK

how can this be used to gain entry?
A
Section 159 notice with 3 months to lay new pipe or Section 159 notice with 42 days to alter existing pipes
No notice is required for emergencies
A 7 days works notice would follow the 159 informing the landowner that entry will be taken within 7 days
