Contraindicated in:

A

Aliskiren - renin inhibitor (with patients with diabetes due to risk of hyperkalaemia) and those with an eGFR <60ml/min

Cautions:

A

Afro-carribean patients, use of diuretics and first dose hypotension give at bed-time
Avoid in pregnancy

A

Alopecia, angioedema, persistent dry cough, skin reactions, GI effects, constipations, electrolyte imbalance

Renal monitoring

A

Check renal/electrolytes prior - hyperkalaemia - more common in RI
NSAIDs can increase risk of renal damage - avoid in kidney disease
