Q

Explain the method of making a copper salt

A
  1. Using a measuring cylinder, measure 20cm3 of acid into the beaker
  2. Stand the beaker on a tripod and gauze warm gently
  3. Add half a spatula of copper oxide powder into the acid and stir using the glass rod
  4. Keeping the acid warm continue to add copper oxide until no more dissolves
  5. Allow to cool and then filter rue mixture and discard the residue
  6. Pour the filtrate into an evaporating basin heat until crystals begin to appear on the rim of the solution
  7. remove from heat and leave to crystallise
