A

Accountable Care Organization - the name of a 3-year (through 2023) pilot program partnership with DHA, Kaiser Permanente and Humana Military. It allows beneficiaries to seek care from Kaiser network providers in Atlanta, GA area to improve efficiency and effectiveness of care.

• Prime coverage plan option only in the East region.

A

A

Active Duty Deceased Sponsor - ADSM (Active Duty Service Member) died while on Active Duty Status.

  • Surviving children are eligible for AD benefits until they age out (age 21 or up to age 23 for full-time college students)
  • Surviving spouse is eligible for AD benefits for 3 years after the sponsor’s deceased date. (After 3 years, he/she would be eligible for Non-Active duty benefits and must pay fees for their enrollment.)

Personnel Reliability Program (Nuclear/Biological/Chemical Weapon) - an ADSM on special duty assignment responsible for working with nuclear, biological and chemical weapons. • CEBO will assign an ADSM on special duty assignment to a special duty clinic (ex. Flight Medicine, Aerospace Medicine, etc.) at an MTF.

Prime Service Area - approximately a 40 mile radius surrounding an MTF. * PSA does not apply to an ADSM or TRICARE Prime Remote. * Applies to an ADFM, TAMP and NAD enrolled in TRICARE Prime.

Social Security Number - used to access a sponsor's account.

Transitional Assistance Management Program - a sponsor's status for up to 180 days when he/she separates from Active Duty and have not retired yet. * Family members follow the sponsor's status. * The sponsor shares a policy with the family members. * Sponsor and family can enroll in TRICARE Prime or TRICARE select. * They are auto enrolled in TRICARE Select.

Temporary Identification Number - temporary ID for beneficiaries that do not have a SSN (may see if for newborn's, etc.).

TRICARE Information Portal - a portal designed and managed by Humana Military that allows an associate to access account information more efficiently. * TIP Beneficiary 360 - provides a full 360 view of a sponsor's account information. * TIP Contact Handling - allows associates to view the sponsor's information as well as the family members associated with the sponsor (The Phone documentation tool).
