What is FLOSSS?

A

family- What would your family (parents, grandparents, siblings) say

legal- Arrested for possession, fines, record, increase insurance rates

other- Kicked off the team; club, neighbors, church, employers may all look at you differently

school- Up to 5 days of suspension… zeros for everything you miss. School may request a drug evaluation. Your reputation at school will change.

safety- Accident, pregnancy, alcohol poisoning, STDs, violence, date rape

self- Maintain self-respect. You will always remember what choice you made

A

learning to deal with and not avoid (by using substances) the stresses of growing up. It is the best way to prepare for adulthood and future pressures
