A
Growth modification not possible (accept skeletal discrepancy)
Overbite correction more difficult (may need intrusion)
Midpalatal suture closed (can only expand maxillary base with surgery)

A
Loss of support leads to:
- tooth center of rotation moving apically
- anchorage value reduced
