Q

How does the Flight Deck door respond to pressurization decompression events?

A
  • Two decompression panels that allow air to vent from the Passenger Cabin
into the Flight Deck in the event of a rapid decompression in the Flight Deck.
-In the event of a Passenger Cabin decompression, the entire Flight Deck door may open, permitting Flight Deck air to vent into the Passenger Cabin.
-In the case of a rapid decompression in the cabin compartment, the NG Flight Deck door is
designed to withstand the pressure difference due to the small area of the flight compartment
    without opening.
