LEMON
* Look (trauma to oropharynx, morbid obesity, agitated aptient, short neck)
* Evaluate 3-3-2
* Mallampati (1 to 4, 3 and 4 = difficult)
* Obstruction/Obesity (stridor, inability to control secretions, muffled voice)
* Neck mobility

Describe difference CPAP and BiPAP

A
  • C-PAP provides a constant pressure regardless of whether the patient is
  • inhaling or exhaling
  • whereas BiPAP provides one pressure when the patient is exhaling and a different, higher presssure while they are inhaling
