Interactions:
Ototoxicity with which diuretics?
- Loop diuretics

Nephrotoxicity with Cephalosporins, vancomycin or ciclosporin

MONITORING:
- To find peak and trough conc. – 1hr after admin(peak) and just before next dose (trough). If found peak is higher than exp. Decrease next dose. Trough drug conc. High = Increase dose interval.

RANGES:
IM/IV – Multiple daily regimen PEAK – 5-10mg/L. TROUGH - <2mg/L.

Endocarditis range differ: PEAK- 3-5mg/L. TROUGH - <1mg/L

• Auditory and vestibular function
