I responsible for tracking Freesat’s company KPIs which come from a range of source including our own consumer research, our connected device data, and BARB audience measurement data - and monitor our performance, identifying where there are risks of us under or over performing, and identifying general trends

I’m also responsible for our sales forecasting which is built on an assumptions based model, and updating that model when new data comes in

I also maintain forecasts of how each of our channels performs which is important because the amount we revenue we get from channels is determined by the audience they bring in, so there forecasts help us identify any risks or opportunities here

Researching and analyzing market trends and further developing a comprehensive picture of advertising and content market dynamics

at the beginning of lockdown on March we were unsure of how lockdown would affect our sales so I ran some consumer research to understand how corona affect consumers intent to buy various types of consumer goods

ITV recently made some changes to their regional services which would make some SD services unavailable so I did some research to understand the impact on Freesat, which them prompted further research around SD only homes (which skew much older in age and lower in social grade) in general which helps us understand what a HD switchover would look like on the platform which is one of our long term goals

I deal with request from across the company who are more my clients

I put together some market analysis sessions at the request of the Board bringing in some experts in the field and getting a range of opinions

I’ve done analyses and forecasts for the content team for their negotiations with channel partners to understand the commercial value which Freesat delivers to its partners

I manage all of our ongoing research and audience measurement data from BARB, as well as some of our connected device data

But i’m also responsible for identifying where there are gaps in our research, for example we haven’t historically run enough research before we start briefing agencies on our campaign i’m working with the marketing team to plan some research to drive our success throughout rather than after when we’re not able to do as much
