What is autologous stem cell transplants?
A
Stem cells obtained from the patients, no rejection, stem cells frozen in lab before conditioning chemotherapy, for myeloma and lymphoma

A
Stem cells from a suitable donor, takes longer for immune system to recover, opportunistic infections common, for blood cancers which cannot be cured by chemotherapy
