where does the radial nerve run in relation to the humerus?
in the spinal groove, can be damaged with humerus fractures
which muscles are supplied by the axillary nerve?
deltoids, teres minor and axilla
which muscles are supplied by the dorsal scapular nerve?
rhomboids and levator spinae
which muscles are supplied by the accessory nerve?

what forms the apex of the axilla?
first rib medially, clavicle in front and scapula behind. channel of communication between the axilla and triangle of the neck.
what forms the base of the axilla?
skin and deep fascia connecting the lateral wall of the torso and the upper arm
what does the axilla contain?
fat and lymph nodes, axillary artery, axillary vein, brachial plexus.
why are the lymph nodes of the axilla of such great importance?
they drain the mammary gland.
what is the cubital fossa?
elbow pit. anterior view of elbow.
how does blood reach the right axillary artery from the left ventricle?
aorta, brachiocephalic trunk, right subclavian
how are the cords of the brachial plexus named and why?
posterior, lateral, medial. where they are in relation to the axillary artery
