• From the age of 10: The boy showed a decline in his academic studies and general behaviour. This behavioural coincided with his parents divorce, moving with his grandparents with his mother, and a change of school.
• From the age 12: He began hearing voices. He believed that his mother and other people were communicating with him via the voices.
• Deterioration: His behaviour became more erratic, muttering to himself and shouting at people who were not there. His sleep was affected and also his self-care, dramatically.
