- Vaginal bleeding after 20weeks of gestation

A
- Placenta impanted over OR near the cervical os
- Stretching can cause disruption and tears

A
- Premature separation of a normally implanted placenta

What are some local causes of Antepartum Haemorrhage?
A
Cervical polyps, infection, cancer

What is the management for APH with NO alteration to perfusion?
A
- Tx to appropriate facility
- L) lateral tilt

What is the Mx for APH with signs of altered perfusion?
A
- Place pt in left lateral tilt
- Tx to obstetric hospital with notification
- Normal Saline 40mL/kg
- Consult for further 20mL/kg
