- CNS+CNS & herbal depressants eg. kava & valerian

- Herbal prod. - angel’s trumpet, jimsin weed, & scopolia.
- Antagonize vasopressor effects of epinephrine

- Cx doing long term therapy should not quit suddenly; withdrawal can be deadly sceptical in buspirone
- assess mood daily
- monitor bp standing & lying down
- cx must rise slowly from lying or sitting position
- withhold drug & notify physician if paradoxical excitement occurs
Impy cont’d
- cx can suck on ice chips, sup water, suck on hard candy to relieve dry mouth
- take drug with food or milk to prevent nausea & vomiting
- symp. blood dyscrasias must be reported to doc stat eg. Sore throat, malaise, fever, easy bruise & weird bleeding
