  • Cx doing long term therapy should not quit suddenly; withdrawal can be deadly sceptical in buspirone
  • assess mood daily
  • monitor bp standing & lying down
  • cx must rise slowly from lying or sitting position
  • withhold drug & notify physician if paradoxical excitement occurs

  • cx can suck on ice chips, sup water, suck on hard candy to relieve dry mouth
  • take drug with food or milk to prevent nausea & vomiting
  • symp. blood dyscrasias must be reported to doc stat eg. Sore throat, malaise, fever, easy bruise & weird bleeding
