Tricyclic side effect
Sedation- tolerance/habituation, take in PM
Arrhythmia- assess ekg
Decreased urine output/ constipation
Orthostatic hypotension - BP, slow to stand
Blurry eyes - avoid if closed < glaucoma
Photophobia - sunscreen; Rash, Hepatoxicity
Decreased effect oral contraceptives
Incr appetite= weigh gain
Lithium Carbonate
May cause weight gain and acnee
Not too much coffee
Monitor CBC LFT I+O and electrolytes
Serum drug level= 0.5-1.5 meq/L
Muscle ridgity and fever and seizures
Serotonin syndrome
Discontinue drug

Depression
Causes feelings of sadness/loss of interest in activities. Affects how you feel, think, and act. Treatable.
