Marked fear/avoidance of at least 2 of - crowds - public spaces - travelling alone - travelling away from home Symptoms of anxiety in the feared situation Significant emotional distress Symptoms restricted to feared situation

Significant distress accompanied by an impairment in social functioneing when adapting to new circumstances Symptoms present for less than 6 months
