What can your appendices contain?
A
- Conference summaries, for example yalta or Potsdam.
- Timelines of key events for example 1941 - 49 or 1917 - 49. Helps shows how quickly things escalated.
- Primary source extracts - Key quotes or documents you mention but don’t want to fully insert into the essay. For example: Truman Doctrine speech extract, Iron Curtain speech by Churchill, Stalin’s post-war comments.
- A chart comparing Orthodox, revisionist, and post - revisionist views.

How would you format these into your appendices?
A
- Label them Appendix A, Appendix B etc.
- Give each one a title + shirt caption.
- Refer to them clearly in your essay (e.g see appendices B for timeline).

What would you include in your summary of the conferences?

A
Yalta, Feb 1945.
- Attendees: Churchill, Roosevelt, Stalin.
- Agreements: Free elections in Eastern Europe (disputed). Division of Germany.
- Tensions: Differing views on Poland’s future.
