Once you hear “cleared for the approach” Localizer 27 Circle to Land 18R at KMEM, what steps are taken?
Control Display Unit - Sequence Approach (select GRIT and turn it Blue)
Mode Select Panel - Approach
Set Altitude Bug to 940’
LOC 1 will become active NAV source,
Select NAV & VNAV (will get you down to FAF IPEPE)
“VPATH” will flash approaching IPEPE, select VS
Flaps landing on base

ATIS - Listen
Altimeter - Set
Avionics - Build Approach
Enter Approach into CDU
MFD - Pull up LOC 27 chart, check mins (940’), enter 940’ BARO mins
CDU - Enter Data for Performances, send them, and post them

What is the approach speed on downwind, vectors, or approaching the initial approach fix?
150 - 180 KIAS
What is the minimum flaps 15° speed single engine?
Vapp + 10 Knots
What is the glide slope intercept speed single engine?
Vapp + 10 Knots
What is the gear down and flaps 35° speed?
VT - 130KTS
Once stable (approx 500- 600FPM descent), prior to IPEPE, what mode should be activated?
VS
This will take you down to a 940’ MDA
When are landing flaps selected on the LOC 27 Circle 18R at KMEM
On Base, prior to turning final, before disconnecting autopilot.
