What is the mechanism of action of Aspirin?

A

●Non-steriodal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).
●Has antiplatelet, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, analgesic effects. Only given by ambulance personnel for Antiplatelet activity.
●Inhibits (blocks) the enzyme clycooxgenase which results in a reduction of the formation of prostaglandins and thromboxane.
