EXAMPLES - Opposed to same sex marriage, abortion and Euthanasia
Legislation for Abortion and marriage equality Bills were opposed in 2022 and 2015.
DUP attempted to create a bill in 2021 to prevent Abortions in NI in
cases of non-fatal disabilities 2024 Manifesto ‘Unashamedly Pro-Life’
DUP appeals to hard line Unionist and Loyalist voters unlike the UUP who are seen as too centre
EXAMPLES - Anti-Irish Language - DUP block cross-border funding for schemes supporting Irish Language March 2025.
