Ovulation Stimulation and Induction
A
*goal is to stimulate egg production, and monitor in order to maximise success of a single pregnancy
-higher levels of FSH and IVF is administered (injected) than naturally occurring to overstimulate the ovaries and increase egg production
-ovulation is monitored and eggs are retrieved before ovulation
-most sperm samples are produced through masturbation
-normal fertilisation occurs or intra-uterine insemination is used at the time of ovulation
