What is the location of the Astroid belt?
Between mars and Jupiter
How did we find the asteroid and comet belt?
Looking for new planets according to the distance of the known planet pattern. (Doubling every time)
What is the location of the Kuiper Belt?
After Pluto on the outside of the solar system
What is the Oort cloud?
Outside of the solar system. It is mainly made up of comets.
What is the composition of a comet?
Mainly Ice and other frozen gasses. They are like big dirty snowballs.
What effect does jupiter have on the astroid belt?
It is the reason that there is one. If Jupiter’s gravity was not there we could possibly have another planet form.
NEAR Earth object?
The objects (Comet, Astroid, Metor, Or another) that comes close to earth.
What is a Trans-Neptunian Object?
Anything in the Kuiper belt
What are the Dwarf Planets to remember?
Ceres, Pluto, Eris
Why do comets have two tails and what do they do?
They have two because one is made of gas and one is made of the melted particles. One is going away from the sun because it is being burned off away from it. the other will be effected by the solar winds.
What are meteor showers made of and where do they come from?
They happen when we pass through the trail of a comet and the dust falls into our atmosphere.
