ATA 29 - HYDRAULICS Flashcards
(36 cards)
The Hydraulic system is how many systems?
Two. The Resovior/Valve block, and the Pumps
How many releif valves per system?
Two. One High Px, One Low Px.
What Px is the High Px releif valve?
122 bar
What Px is the Low Px releif valve?
7.5bar
How many filters are in the Hydraulic system?
Two - One per valve block.
What type of pump are the hydraulic pumps?
Pistion type pumps.
What is the operating Px of the Hydraulic system?
103 bar
What is the Hyd Module frame made of?
Milled Aluminium
What changes with Hydraulic demand, Px or flow?
Flow. The Px always stays the same.
How does the flow increase in the Hyd system?
by the angle of the backplate in the pump
How many main actuators are there?
3 double actuators.
How many Hyd pumps are in the system?
One per system.
What is the use of the actuators?
To turn hyraulic Px into mechanical Px.
Which system has the TR shut-off valve?
System 1.
when does the TR shut-off vlave close?
when there is less than 0.19litres of flud left in the resovoir.
What is the pre-load (resovoir) Px?
1.4-.1.75 bar
How many lines are connected to each pump?
Four. Suction Line (S) from the resovoir, Output Line (P) to the system, Case Drain (Sc) providing a minimum flow around the pump to provide cooling and lubrication, and the Seal Drain (Sd) connected to the seal drain ofr the pump seal.
Where is the seal drain connected to?
the overboard drain.
What is the capacity of the Hyd system?
1.2 litres
What are the Hyd pumps driven from?
The ACC GBOX
How is system flow increased?
By increasing the pump stroke.
What is the sight glass for on the Resvoir?
For checking to see if there is air in ther hyd system
Where is non-return valve located?
in the resvoir block after the line from the pump, and before the filter.
How is the fluid level checked?
By the level indiactor located on the front of the resovoir.
