what is the atomic theory and who made it

- All substances are made of atoms: they are the smallest particles of matter - can’t be created or destroyed (the part about how atoms are the smallest particles is wrong)
- All atoms of the same element are the same and have the same masses (vice versa)
- Atoms join together to form compopunds - a compound always consists of the same kinds of atoms in the same ratio
