Can atoms be destroyed?
A
No, they are never created or destroyed!

What are atoms made from?
A
They are made from three subatomic particles
- protons(positively charged)
- neutrons(neutral charge)
- electrons(negativity charged)
They determine the property’s of the atom.

How is it formed?
A
The nucleus in the the centre and it contains the protons and neutrons(solids) and the electrons fly around the nucleus and form a ‘cloud’

What are the electron shells?
A
They are the areas in which the electrons fly around. The first one can contain 2 second and third can contain 8

What is an atom?
A
They are the building blocks from which a substance is made. There are 118 known atoms.
