Q

What is the purpose of control room ventilation?

A

To maintain:

  • Temperature within required limits. (normally 75F and 30-50% humidity)(90-95F under most adverse conditions)
  • Acceptable smoke level.
  • Positive Pressure following a LOCA.

16
Q

What is the AES flow path?

A

Takes a suction from hallways into ESF pump and HX rooms, into the vestibule, through roughing filter then HEPA filter then through or around charcoal filter, through fan then out plant vent stack. CLEAN TO DIRTY

17
Q

What are the auto starts of the AES fans?

A

If switch is in AUTO will start when same train ESF pump starts. SI starts all AES fans.

18
Q

What happens to the AES fans if either train of Phase B signal occurs?

A

Both AES fans will go into charcoal filter mode.

19
Q

Who must you contact when changing any Aux building ventilation?

A

RP
